Feedback - gigs

I think after one gig they'll love you. 3AM have such a great groove very different from most bands.

George MacAllister – fan

Your track stood head and shoulders above the others, hence my detective work in seeking you out.

Party booking via Headliner

We booked 3am for my 50th Birthday party. The communications and professionalism from dealing promptly with our enquiry through to sorting the final details has been flawless.

3am were absolutely incredible - we can't recommend them highly enough! Insatiable was a favourite of some guests who were surprised to hear that it was one of 3am's own tracks!

All the musicians were brilliant and the lead vocals we're superb, and the lead guitar (a personal favourite of mine) incredible.

Everyone who attended our party has commented on how brilliant the band was and we can't thank you enough.

Thanks
Paul

“I just paid 40 quid to see Girls Aloud. Then I just saw you lot for FREE – and YOU were brilliant!”

A Fantastic band! Royal Oak, West Molesey

I've seen a lot of live bands and some are mediocre but NOT this band. These are great and new singer Claire Bender is excellent who keeps everyone entertained. There are a lots of old sixties classics but also ORIGINALS which (surpringly) are quite catchy. I shall certainly look out when they are playing next!

Proper live music venue! The Nags Head, Sunningdale

Last night was our first gig for a while - and we surely struck lucky with the Nags Head! First time we've played there but the locals treated us like old friends - came up for chats, showed loads of appreciation for our music and generally got happily involved. Pub acoustics were also really "easy" - looking forward to our next couple of gigs there later this summer. Very big thank you to Wendy for booking us and working hard with her staff to keep the crowd well-served!

Sandy/3am

Astonishing! Transfixed! Enthralling! Extraordinary!

3AM in Stevenage Red Lion, Stevenage

Can't believe there's no reviews on here in 6 years!

3 AM are a fantastic Rock and Blues band. A few old fellas, like myself, and a superb young lady lead singer.

Well played music, enjoyed as much my the band as the pub punters.

Guest singer was shy but a fab contrast in voice to lead.

See them if you can.

Thank you so much, Mr Beardedand Balding! Glad you enjoyed the band - they always enjoy playing at the Red Lion in Stevenage - full of appreciative and discerning folks like yourself! XX

Great set, got the wrinklies and Sandy bopping !! Special praise to Chris who is really coming to the forefront and giving you a great sound, setting you apart from other Blues/Rock bands you see on the circuit.

What an astonishing night! From the first number 3 AM had us transfixed with their performance. With a repertoire which ranged from rock to blues, and with a few self-penned numbers thrown into the mix it was enthralling. The musicianship was fantastic, especially Pete (sic) with skilful keyboard solos and Laura's extraordinary vocal range. We didn't know what to expect - and we certainly weren't disappointed! There are a few local gigs which 3AM are appearing at, so if you missed last night at Sunbury, try to get along elsewhere.https://www.lemonrock.com/3am?page=gigs has a list of their future performances. Thanks for a great night 3AM!

On the road at the Angel in Hayes (The Angel, Hayes)

Last night’s effortless performance at The Angel in Hayes saw the young the old and everyone in-between, wearing suits, jeans, heels and trainers heading for the dance floor.

After a late start waiting for the entertaining All Blacks to ‘do their thing,’ the band took to the stage (a rather small corner of the pub where the fifty year old Oche strip separated band and fans) looking relaxed and chilled, ready to bring this lovely listed pub and all its punters to their knees.

With feet tapping, faces smiling and young men everywhere trying to catch the eye of lead vocalist Laura Long, the oh so cool Tim Renton delighted us with his skillful guitar playing, Jamie Fisher on drums rocked us with his naturally gifted rhythm, Chris Parren on keys, teased and treated our senses to years of talent as Phil Evans fed our souls with erotic bass lines to 3AM's "Insatiable". And bringing this band to its climax, Laura Long seduced the audience with her unique, stylish and sultry ballads and her passionate, edgy rock vocals.

As always, this seasoned Rock & Blues band performed brilliantly, totally at one with the audience and the environment, 3AM successfully bagged yet another great night.

The Old Crown, Hayes

the band was terrific - they got people dancing. The girl singer especially stood out for her sheer talent as well her beauty. She was a sight for sore old hippy eyes. I am a big fan of Janis Joplin and so I was pleased to hear a young woman who could sing like her. That is one band I will see again and not get bored of. The venue was unsual - mixed crowd. Luckily I was with my mate.

Many thanks indeed for your kind words, Stash - not often someone goes to this much trouble to show their appreciation! We enjoyed the gig - always good to have a friendly, music-loving crowd to "bounce" off! - and we'll be back at the Old Crown on a fairly regular basis - so please come and say hi again!

"Hucking fell - yeah!"

following Clapham Grand gig

I can honestly say that I thought you guys were great. I am not naturally one of those who takes to a band I haven’t heard before so directly (usually takes me three or four times of listening to an album before I even start the foot-tapping ), but I thought your sound was excellent and right down my street.

Can't get enough

I have never written a review but after seeing 3AM on several occasions I feel compelled to write a bit more than what would otherwise appear on their page as 'Applause'. Why? Because 3AM are WORTH it.

To fully appreciate the band, it helps to understand a bit about the individuals that make up the whole, so to speak, and in Tim Renton, the band has a lead guitarist who 'knows' how to treat a guitar and also 'knows' how to get the best out of it as demonstrated consistently with dynamic ability throughout. In one of their own songs "Travesty," he 're-verbs' the sound of his guitar to great effect, demonstrating complete control. Fantastic!

In the hands of another professional, who never misses a beat, the drums and percussion are ably provided by Andy Renton, whose expertise has been honed through playing in many other bands. For some reason he reminds me of the drummer in the group called 'Love'. Fantastic quality: great sound - a drummer who 'plays' each song rather than just keeping a beat.

The band's keyboardist, Chris Parren, could double as the keyboard player for 'The Doors' while Phil Evans on bass - yet another pro - has learnt the art of dependable underpinning with solid, tangible bass lines although it would be great to hear him really break out with some really wild bass sounds you know he's capable of producing.

As for vocals - well, what can I say? Rock chick, Laura (who does the rounds on the jazz circuit in London as well as teaches singing) delivers a style all her own with tantalising influences of Elkie Brooks and Janis Joplin shining through.

As a band 3AM make for a tight unit, able to produce perfect sound that enables the listener to close their eyes and pick out each instrument individually and 'appreciate' the unique abilities of each performer in an OVERALL highly professional performance with great songs you can really boogie to but really grab your attention when it comes to their own stuff, which is really very good. Listen out for "Insatiable", "Travesty" and "Attention Seeker" to name but a few. You'll soon get the flavour of what they're about and want to repeat the experience as soon as you can!

Why - because they're WORTH IT!

"I was there! No chance to dance, so I swayed a bit instead, that's how busy it was! 3am are one of the most involving and fun bands you will see on the live circuit - you can see how much all the band members are enjoying themselves, and it rubs off! Anyone interested in following 3am should check out their next gig in Rickmansworth on 30th November - so much more than blues rock! Just listen to their MP3s, and you'll see what I mean!"

A HUGE THANK YOU! You and the Band absolutely made my day and indeed made my party very very special. I hoped you would be good but you were BRILLIANT!

I can't believe how tight you guys are. You must practice alot. The guitarist' vibrato is like Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits). The drummer sounds sober and has a nice feel for when and how to play (and not to play) Must be paiste cymbals. THe singer is very accomplished and takes good care of her instrument (voice) In Texas they would tell you there's nothing qrong with her voice that 2 packs a day and some Jack Daniels couldn't fix. Janis Joplin was from 20 miles from here. Most of the girls that play the local venues sound like Joe Cocker. All in all, I give you high grades Feel free to check out my page http//www.bullnoonmusic.com snoop around the pages looking for hyperlinks (the little hands) and you'll find my music page behind the curious george lunch kit it has original and cover tunes I play everything on the tunes cheers to my old friend Dean.

Hi George! Thanks for the applause! Nice to know at least one person across the pond likes us! (even if you'd be happier with some more gravel in the vocals!) Tried to listen to your music, but none of the MP3's would open up: could that be a "transatlantic" problem? No problems with the Randy Rogers music tho - enjoyed that!
